Our Story
Our inspiration to initiate 'Recare Diapers' derived from our Women's Emergency Center visit. Talking with the manager and mothers there allowed us to acknowledge and understand the massive burden diapers have been for many mothers. Due to a plethora of issues that they propose, from high cost and tons of waste to high demand and a lack of accessibility, we decided to innovate a cheap and sustainable diaper that could be optimized to satisfy the needs of many mothers and their infants.
Our product
Recare Diapers is sustainable and cost-efficient, as they are manufactured from agricultural waste: pineapple leaves. We have partnered with retirees in Rayong for the production process of pineapple fibres, as well as women inmates at the Central Women's Correctional Institution who were instrumental in the sewing process. Furthermore, our diapers have gone through testing at the Thai Textile Institute, proven to be water absorbent.
Our Impact
Environment
Recare Diapers is manufactured from agricultural waste, as we aim to reduce carbon emissions and waste in landfills
Employment
Recare help supports a local elderly community, women inmates, and disabled artists in Thailand in earning income and making use of their potential.
Supporting women
in the community
Recare help supports unprivileged mothers at the Women’s Emergency Shelter, who have been domestically abused, raped, have unwanted pregananvies or are financially and mentally unready to raise a child. Furthermore, we have also supported women inmates in harnessing their skills and earning savings that they could use post-release, as well as autistic teenagers and the Rayong community financially and through empowerment.

Our Milestone
For our first project, we aimed to support and empower financially challenged individuals by providing employment opportunities to teenagers who are less fortunate, autistic, or disabled. Our project involved designing tote bags that were sold to raise funds. By employing these teenagers, we not only helped them gain confidence but also helped them realize and utilize their full potential.
As a result, we raised a total of 80,000 THB (2,250 USD ++) through our fundraising efforts.
